1. Who we are

Dynsweep is a small sleep hygiene consultation studio based at 474 Charlotte St, Brisbane City QLD 4000, Australia. In this policy, "we", "our" and "the studio" all refer to Dynsweep. "You" refers to anyone who visits this website, sends us a written enquiry, books a consultation, or otherwise interacts with our services.

This privacy policy explains what personal information we collect, how we handle it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, please call reception on +61 7 3108 5541 or write to us using the address listed on our contact page.

2. Information we collect

We try to collect as little personal information as possible while still being able to do our job. The categories below describe what we may receive, and when.

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Contact details. Your name (or first name only), email address and any phone number you choose to share when you fill in our contact form.
  • Enquiry content. The message you write in the contact form, or any subsequent correspondence with the studio.
  • Booking information. Preferred session times, household composition where relevant, and any practical notes you share so we can prepare for your consultation.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Basic browsing data. Your device type, browser, approximate region and pages visited, recorded by standard server logs.
  • Cookies. A small number of cookies used to remember whether you've seen the privacy notice and to keep the site working smoothly. See our cookies policy for the full list.

3. How we use that information

We use the information described above to:

  • Reply to your enquiries and arrange a suitable consultation time.
  • Prepare for and deliver the consultation you've booked.
  • Send follow-up notes, written routine cards or environment review summaries.
  • Keep a small record of past sessions so we can pick up where we left off if you return.
  • Maintain the website, fix issues, and keep things reasonably secure.
  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations under Australian law.

We don't use your information for behavioural advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't profile you for marketing.

4. Lawful basis & consent

We rely on the following bases for processing personal information:

  • Your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the contact form before sending us a message.
  • Performance of an agreement, where you've booked a consultation and we need details to deliver it.
  • Our legitimate interest in running and improving a small website, where this doesn't override your privacy.
  • Legal obligation, where we must keep certain records (for example, invoices) under Australian law.

5. How long we keep records

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes outlined above, and then we deal with it appropriately.

  • Contact-form enquiries that don't lead to a booking: deleted within twelve months.
  • Active client correspondence: kept for the length of the engagement and a reasonable follow-up window.
  • Records required for tax and accounting: retained for the period required by Australian law and then removed.

6. Sharing with third parties

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with a small number of trusted providers that help us run the studio:

  • Our website hosting and email infrastructure providers.
  • Our accountant, strictly for invoicing and statutory compliance.
  • Authorities, where we're legally required to do so.

Each provider is bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.

7. Cookies & analytics

This site uses a very limited set of cookies. None are used for cross-site tracking or advertising. The full breakdown lives in our cookies policy, and you can decline non-essential cookies through the privacy notice that appears on your first visit.

8. Children's information

Our services are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. Where a household session involves a young person, an accompanying adult is responsible for any information shared.

9. International transfers

Some of the providers we work with may store information on servers outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected to a comparable standard.

10. How we protect your data

We use sensible, layered safeguards: HTTPS across the whole site, access controls on our systems, limited staff access to client correspondence, and regular reviews of what we no longer need to keep. No system is completely impervious, but we treat your information with care.

11. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable Australian privacy law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Request a correction to information that's inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
  • Withdraw consent for any future processing.
  • Complain to a relevant regulator if you feel we've handled things poorly.

To exercise any of these rights, please reach out using the details on the contact page.

12. Updates to this policy

We update this page when something material changes about how we handle personal information. The "last reviewed" date at the top reflects the most recent update.
