1. What cookies are
Cookies are very small text files saved to your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember small pieces of information between pages and visits — for example, that you've already seen a particular notice. Cookies don't run programs on your device and they can't access information outside their own scope.
2. How we use cookies
Our use of cookies is intentionally minimal. We don't run advertising networks, behavioural retargeting or social media trackers. The cookies we do set exist to keep the website working and to respect your privacy choices over time.
3. Categories of cookies on this site
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the site to function. They cannot be switched off in our preferences because, without them, basic features would not work.
3.2 Functional cookies
These remember small preferences, such as whether you've already dismissed the privacy notice that appears at the bottom of the screen.
3.3 Analytics cookies
We do not currently set analytics cookies. If this changes in future, we'll update the list below and refresh the privacy notice so you can opt out if you'd like.
3.4 Advertising cookies
We do not set advertising cookies on this site.
4. The specific cookies we set
- Privacy notice preference. Stored as a small entry in your browser's local storage, used solely to remember whether you've already dismissed the privacy notice. Lasts until you clear your browser storage.
If a future version of the site adds a new cookie, it will be listed here and the "last reviewed" date will be updated.
5. Third-party services that may set cookies
Some embedded content on this site is provided by third parties and may set cookies of its own:
- Google Fonts & Google Maps. Used to display typefaces and a small location map on the contact page. These services may set their own cookies according to their privacy policies.
- Phosphor Icons CDN. Used to display icons. It generally does not set cookies but may keep small caching records.
We don't control how these third-party providers operate. You can review their own policies for details.
6. Local storage
We also use a small amount of browser local storage — separate from cookies — to remember whether you've already accepted or declined the privacy notice. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
7. Managing your preferences
The privacy notice at the bottom of the screen lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies and local-storage entries on your first visit. You can also clear your browser's stored data to reset your choice at any time.
8. Browser-level controls
All modern browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can usually:
- See what cookies have been set and delete them individually or in bulk.
- Block third-party cookies altogether.
- Block all cookies (note that some websites may stop working as expected).
- Use a private/incognito window so cookies are cleared at the end of the session.
9. Do Not Track signals
Because we don't operate tracking or advertising cookies on this site, no special action is taken on Do Not Track signals. Your browsing here is not profiled either way.
10. Updates to this policy
If we add, remove or change any cookies or trackers, we'll update this page and refresh the "last reviewed" date at the top.
11. Getting in touch
